Counseling in Difficult Times
Most human beings won't stop to ask for support until they have no other option. Either we don't want to bother anyone, or we lull ourselves into thinking "It's not so bad" or we are embarrassed and don't want to appear as weak or "needy". We generally don't reach out until we are in so much pain, or so depressed, that we virtually have nothing to lose.
At A Heart Connection, your problems and issues will be handled with gentleness and compassion opening you up to a new perspective of life.
Pre-Marital Counseling
Before a wedding, clients may want premarital counseling to get a clear picture of their future commitment and what that means.
Coaching is also available around the stress of planning the wedding, whether it involves too much to do, or how to deal with the special needs of parents, friends and relatives.
Teaching
Listening for Couples (TLC)
After the
'honeymoon' every couple has it's moments of misunderstanding and
confusion. The TLC process teaches couples to develop Communication
Patterns that are mutually Rewarding (CPR). Communication is a two-way
street and the art of listening is often missing.
Compassionate Communication Training (CCT)
Communication is an art that can be learned and A Heart Connection is committed to relationships being mutually fulfilling and satisfying, whether between parent and children, friends, relatives, couples or business associates.
In this training you learn how to have full self-expression while simultaneously honoring another person's viewpoint through compassionate communication.
Individuals may opt to learn these skills one-on-one, as partners, or in a group seminar setting.
Empowered Parenting Training (EPT)
Here compassionate communication is focused on a specific area so parents can have support and training in how to keep the balance between 'strict' and 'permissive" parenting.
Weekly training sessions will be conducted over a 3 month time frame and follow a preset curriculum.
Individuals (one or both parents) may custom design an 8-week package which focuses more on specific issues in their family.
Life Changes Coaching
When changes happen in life, we sometimes get caught off guard in a ripple effect we weren't prepared for. This coaching shows us how to move forward at any age, in any transition including switching careers, midlife crises or divorce.
Life Empowerment Coaching (LEC)
Who doesn't want to feel empowered? "How do I get that?" one might ask.
This personalized coaching is a more rigorous style that will empower you to get clear about where you want to go and how fast you want to proceed.

A Heart Connection will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine what areas in your life you want to address and the specific techniques that will allow you to have breakthrough results. (For more information click on Coaching Techniques).
Clients may choose to have a one month "Trial" period before entering a full blown session. Coaching sessions are once a week for three months (12 sessions) and can be set up at any available time slots.
Group
Trainings are 10 week sessions conducted from April to June, July to
September, and October to December.

Top Ten Rules
for Successful Relationships
1. Learn to Listen. Let the other person finish their sentence (thought).
2. Know thyself. Be in touch with your own feelings and needs.

Say what you mean. Be able to clearly communicate your needs
to others
without demanding.
4. Mean what you say. Be authentic and genuine in your communication.

Learn to Listen. Men: Although you love to "solve problems"
and "fix"
things - when your woman is upset - she is not
broken. Women love to be
listened to and understood.
6. Learn to Appreciate. Women: Although men occur to be tough - they are
very sensitive and good at hiding their hurts.
Men thrive on being your

7. Be aware of your emotions. Notice your trigger points, breathe and accept.

Be willing to forgive. To err is human. The art of forgiveness has
nothing
to do with giving in or allowing others to trample on
you. It is the gift you
give yourself.

Relationships are dynamic, not static. They require an
ongoing
maintenance program.
10.
Listen, listen,
listen. You just might learn something you really didn't
know.
